Ibanez - What Dreams Are Made Of

You must have found out that I have a strong focus on one particular guitar brand: Ibanez. I am very proud to call some fine Ibanez instruments my own and would like to share my love for these guitars with all fellow Ibanez lovers worldwide. Through the years of surfing the web, always looking for other fans and information, I have met many great people and collected a load of important links. I decided to assemble them here to give you guys a couple of more sites to enjoy after you're done with mine :-)

Beyond Ibanez

Sometimes it's important to look beyond the end of one's nose. Here are some (non-Ibanez) links to German luthiers.

Tausch Guitars

Tausch Guitars Rainer Tausch

Probably the finest handmade custom guitars south of the Danube. Period. Created by Rainer Tausch of Illertissen/Germany.

teuffelguitars Uli Teuffel

The symbiosis of concept, design and top craftsmanship: Ulrich Teuffel of Holzschwang/Germany with his highly acclaimed award-winning instruments birdfish, niwa and tesla. Out of this world.

Siggi Braun - Fine Young Guitars Siggi Braun

Another highly skilled and very friendly guitar maker, located in Göppingen/Germany, offering either semi-custom guitars featuring his trademark shape, or full-custom designs in his custom shop. From Siggi Braun, you can expect wonderful wood work, fine finishes and superb service. :-)

Frank Hartung Guitars Frank Hartung

Frank Hartung of Langewiesen in Thuringia presented his fresh and new line of guitars at the 2004 Frankfurt music fair for the first time - under the label FORGE Guitars. This has been changed to his last name in 2009. It's good to see that even today, in the age of the two or three big brands ruling the market, new guitar manufacturing companies emerge with a vision and a total devotion to the instrument itself. Keep up the good work!

Häussel/Coiltec Pickups Harry Häussel

He's the "German Pickup Guru", offering custom handwound pickups, and also CNC routing services e.g. for fretboards and inlays. Harry's workshop is located in Burladingen/Germany.

Nik Huber Guitars Nik Huber

Looking for a great alternative for PRS and other boutique stuff? Go check out Nik's guitars! Comin' atcha straight outta Rodgau/Germany.

Staufer Guitars André Waldenmaier

Luthier André Waldenmaier of Munich is one of Germany's most credited repairmen, especially for very delicate work on vintage equipment. He once re-vamped a quite "puzzled" Les Paul (that has been smashed into 1000 pieces) and made it sound even better than when it was intact. :-) Go figure.

Ibanez Friends and Fellow Collectors

Andreas D.
DE I met Andreas in the musiker-board.de forum and found another real Ibanez Maniac in him. He decided to sell off his complete collection of fine RGs (RG550DY, RG550XXM-RF, RG2020SOL) and also his JEM77FP 15th Anniversary to raise funds for a JEMVAI2KDNA. Good luck, keep it up and rock on!
Bytebold DE Although I don't know his real name, I really need to mention Bytebold's magnificent JEM collection here.
Franz Bachleitner AT

Another guitar lover and collector: Franz from Austria. He also has an interesting collection, it used to include a rare Ibanez 540PII "Power-II" (unofficial Alex Skolnick signature model) which is now sold.

Graeme Nicholson USA

The Nikosan site is Graeme's online hideaway. He likes Japanese women, Halloween movies and Ibanez guitars. Among others, he has four beautiful JEMs (VWH, DBK, FP, DY customized) and a rare 1987 540P "Power".

Holger Hansmann DE

Holger is a big Dream Theater fan and loves to play his Ibanez Saber Prestige.

Jimi D. CA

Jimi from Ottawa has many nice instruments, enjoys giving personal histories of his guitars and knows a lot about each model's lineage. For this reason, his site is very similar to mine and worth many visits. He used to have a couple of great Ibanez guitars, but his guitar throughput is very high and every single one is sold. Instead, he is currently specializing in Music Man guitars.

Joachim Seemann DE

An engineer and guitar collector from Munich. Guitar-Joe, as his friends call him, has amassed a great collection of over 70 instruments!

Kessier Hsu TW Kessier from Taiwan plays with the band SERAPHIM and calls an overwhelming Ibanez J-Custom collection his own. He also put a lot of time and effort into assembling a massive gallery of Ibanez guitar pictures from all over the www. It's even more comprehensive than the official sites, because it also goes back to the past and out-of-production models.
Magnus Olsson SE Magnus from Sweden is a fantastic guitarist, he is endorsed by Ibanez and also DiMarzio. He has an awesome collection of beautiful Ibanez guitars and huge photographic skills on top of that - check it out!
Marcus Reichert DE

My best e-mail friend Marcus has a fascinating guitar collection, featuring a couple of very nice and collectable Ibanez rarities. Unbelievable, he has three super-rare Artfield models under his belt. Once his page is finally completely finished (it's in a constant "under construction mode"), it may be showing his exclusive amplification gear.

Olaf Berhorst DE

Olli from Backyard Music is half dealer and half collector, and he's definitely an Ibanez maniac - specializing in late 1970s and 1980s Ibanez guitars, but he is also attracted to JEMs and RGs.

Patrick Voes BE

This is Patrick from Belgium. He has numerous nice Ibanez JEMs and other models. What a gallery!

Patrik Walzer CH

Patrik of Bern/Switzerland is the guitarist of the band Lingua Nera. He is the proud owner of 11 (eleven!) high-end Ibanez guitars including four super-rare models: UV77MC, JEM2KDNA, JEM90HAM and JS10TH. Currently he seems to be spezializing in 540P "Power" models. I'm really envious and looking forward to further updates to his home page.

Richard Horner USA

The homepage of Richard Horner has been completely revamped, check it out! He has sold his Ibanez USA Custom Graphic Angels Depart guitar but still has the unbelievable amassment of five super-rare Ibanez USA Custom American Master guitars. Simply amazing.

Ron van der Park NL

On his website, Ron from the Netherlands features a couple of very nice Ibanez guitars including a beautiful UV77MC and a UV7BK with scallopped neck. Ron is a big scallop fan anyway :-)

Wolfgang Meinert DE

Wolfgang is the lead guitarist of the band X-Large and proudly uses (among others) a nice PGM300, a limited edition RG503BEMS, a classy Proline PL-1770 and a cool JPM100P2 guitar.

Zlatko Perica CH Zlatko is proud to be the first Ibanez endorser in Switzerland who was pictured in the European Ibanez catalog. His Ibanez collection is also a must-see.
